After six days at sea it really felt good setting foot on land. Checking in at the harbourmaster's office our plan was to stay a few days before moving on. Plan or no plan, the showers had only cold water! So we settled for just one night.
This smal island is located on the top of the Canary Islands just north of Lanzarote. The beach looked very nice and in the afternoon we put on shorts and bikini with our minds on a nice swim. The surprise was that the water was really cold. I managed to get below the surface but Heidi stopped well before any bikini got wet. As the marina had no laundry we were glad we payed just for the one night as we now planned on sailing to the south point of Lanzarote the next day. This decision was made after we had a look at the weather, a stormfront that had been following us all the way from Cascais and that we had managed to keep in front of by sailing day and night would hit La Graciosa during the following day, but would loose most of it's force giving us good wind to reach Lanzarote.
