Early morning exit from Las Palmas as we were really looking forward to getting to Puerto de Mogan. At the beginning we actually got some wind so we raised our sails and set our course.
A few hours in, the wind disappeared and we had to motor the last 3-4 hours. The feeling of seeing our goal for the last 5,5 weeks in front of us was amazing. This is by far the hardest ting any of us have done in our whole life. For us this is a big achievement, one year ago none of us had been in a sailboat before. We learn as we go, we make decisions together and we have proved that we make good decisions. We are still friends after 5,5 weeks together in a sailboat on the open seas. That in it self is an achievement.
As we now have reached our goal the blog does not stop here. The long sail is over for this time, but we will try to blog now and again about the way of life in a sailboat on an island.
As soon as we feel like going sailing again we will explore the other islands of the Canaries and blog about it here, so dont delete the address!
