Matahari is lifted out of the water and placed carefully on dry land for the season. Preparing the boat for winter is something we have never done before, so a little help from good friends and a lot of YouTube helped. As we checked the cooling fluid in the engine we saw that it was blue. To better take care of our engine we got a tip from a good friend that we should change to the red stuff which is nicer to the inside of our engine. A very important thing was to completely remove ALL the blue stuff before pouring any red fluid into the engine. The two different cooling fluids do not mix, it turns into porridge, and you really do not want that in your engine.
So we started rinsing out all the blue stuff with clean water, and as we were terrified of doing something wrong, we did a complete rinse at least 10 times. In the end what came out of the engine was so clean you could drink it (relax, I didn't try :-) ) Emptying the water tank, all pipes and changing the cooling fluid in the engine the boat is now ready to sleep for the winter. As soon as spring comes we have a lot of work getting it ready for our adventure.
