Wednesday morning and we are up earley to sail as long as we can and hopefully all the way to Farsund. That did not go as planned.....
First thing first we need to fuel up, so found a diesel pump and make sure we leave Stavanger with a full tank.
At the start the wind was perfect and we sail down the coast, making good time, but after a while the weather got worse and the wind got stronger, and now it started to be scary.

All the shaking and hopping shook loose dregs in the thank, and soon the engine stopped, the diesel filter was full of shit, but with no experience with the boat there was nothing we could do. So we headed towards Egersund, but with the wind in our face we had to constantly tack and was making very little progress.

After a while it was starting to get dark and the main sail was stuck in full position, so we really needed some help and we call the coastguard and after a few hours of having them on standby, they came out to help.
Our hat off to the guys they were fantastic, and towed us all the way in to the Egersund harbour, where the harbour master were waiting for us, and assisted with mooring and lowering the sail, before we went to bed. Soaking wet and exhausted we fell into to bed and slept as babys. This day gave us a little more exitement than we hoped for.
