We finally got the boat!

After a long summer searching for the right boat we finally found it.
We just managed to close a deal on a 1998 Beneteau Oceanis 411 while lying by the pool at Cabo Roig, Spain.
The Oceanis has a large platform at the back, important to us as we are scubadiving instructors and dive frequently.  It also has 2 heads and 3 double cabins, as well as the seating in one area.  The boat was also heavy about 9,5 tons which is important when doing oceanic crossings.

The boat is located in a town in the North of Norway, about two weeks sailing from where we live in Tønsberg which is south of Oslo.

We have never been in a sailboat before, so this is a new adventure for us. The owner of the boat, Snorre agreed to use the last week of his holiday, sailing the boat south along the coast, saving us a week of sailing to get the boat home.

It is a bit scary to buy a boat unseen, but the Oceanis 411 is exactly the right boat for us, and we just had to take the chanse.

Now we have to start planning the voyage from Ålesund to Tønsberg, a 8-10 day trip along the coast of Norway in a sailboat without any experience sailing.  We managed to convince our friend Robert to join us for some of the sailing south.
