Today we needed to get up the mast to add a rope for future climbing the mast.
As of now, we have to take down our Genoa to use the rope for climbing, and we wanted to have an extra rope for lifting the dingy as well.
I would really love to go up the mast, but with my 100+ kg that's not an option, not even sure Heidi could hoist me up there, even if she had spinach for breakfast.
So, Heidi jumped in the harness with a big smile and I did the job as an elevator engine.
She made it to the top and I am really proud of her, she is one tough lady!
She got some good pictures, but the mast system for adding another rope demanded some more muscle, so our friend Jon saved the day by coming to the marina late in the evening and getting hoisted all the way to the top.
The rope was added and Jon got himself a cool selfie :-)
He also mounted a flagline to the mast so we can use our courtesy flags on the way to Spain.
Thank you Jon!
